The world famous Mast Farm Inn bed and breakfast will play host to three lucky fans courtesy of Club Ferdinand when they attend the AMA Superbike Suzuki Big Kahuna Nationals at VIRginia International Raceway, August 15-17. In addition to lodging at the Inn, three lucky ticket buyers will each be given the use of a Club Ferdinand Porsche for the weekend! The gift certificates will be good for 1-year following the date of the event. Famed for its multi-faceted accomodations and scenic beauty, the Valle Crucis, N.C. inn, located just a few minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, will provide lodging on Thursday night before the event, a Porsche for the drive to the track and back, and lodging again Sunday evening before the lucky guests' return home after VIRginia International Raceway's summer keynote event, the AMA Superbike races. Headlining the 2008 Suzuki Big Kahuna Nationals August 15th-17th will be high energy Rock and Roll band The K.O.D.E., Tim Bennett (vocals), John Domo (lead guitar), Stoagie (bass guitar and backing vocals), Ryan Wellington (drums), Lance Ragland (rhythm guitar, keys, backing vocals) make up the self-promoting and self-managed group. Based out of Chester, Virginia the group began sixteen years ago and is now an east coast staple. The band’s material ranges from 70’s and 80’s unmistakable sounds, and encompasses everyone’s favorite current alternative hits. Their influences rage from Kiss to Van Halen to Motley Crue. You can catch them at the Pavillion on Friday, August 15th at 7pm and on Saturday, August 16th at 6:30pm.

| Teen Singer to Perform National Anthem at Big Kahuna

Amanda Rutherford, 16 year old teen singing sensation, will be singing “The Star Spangled Banner” at this year’s Big Kahuna Nationals. This will be the third time she has sung our National Anthem for an AMA Surerbike event, but her first singing it at VIRginia International Raceway. “I can’t wait to see it in person. I’ve been on the track web site and it looks gorgeous in the photos,” she said. “I've heard Amanda sing at Road Atlanta the past three years,” said promoter Cameron Gray. “Her voice is one of the best I’ve heard and she’s just a fine young lady.” Racing 2 Save Lives

.Don't forget to check out the first ever Big Kahuna Vintage Bike Display in VIR's Gallery, which is the beautiful red building across from the big oak tree, opening at 1pm Friday til 5pm, and at 9am until 6pm on Saturday and 9am until 1pm Sunday. The display will feature between 30-40 past motorycyles from all different types of racing, including the "Yamamonster" FUSA champion bike form Dutchman Racing and Dale Singleton's double Daytona winning TZ750 from 1979 and 1981. |
Ducati Hypermotard Bike Demos

When you cross the bridge over the track make sure you look to your right, and you might be seeing someone take off on their first Ducati Hypermotard ride. Located right next to the beautiful VIR Oak Tree, Ducati will begin signing fans up for the Hypermotard demo ride at 9am, the first rider will take off at 10am, and rides will be continued every hour on the hour until 4pm when the last demo ride will leave. Don’t miss out on your opportunity to ride this cutting edge bike through the amazing scenery at VIRginia International Raceway. Also, meet Larry Pegram at 10am Sunday, August 17th at the podium for a photoshoot and autograph signing!
